Duo/Trio (laminated beams)
The manufacture of Duobalken®/Triobalken® is subject to a general technical approval by the German Institute for Building Technology.

With this agreement, the Überwachungsgemeinschaft Konstruktionsvollholz e.V. and Holzbau Deutschland - Bund Deutscher Zimmermeister im ZDB provide information about the product requirements, the sorting characteristics, the labelling and the use of Duobalken®/Triobalken®. The basis for production is the general technical approval Z 9.1-440, which refers to DIN EN 1995-1-1 :2010 with regard to dimensioning. Duobalken® beams consist of two, Triobalken® beams of three solid timber (softwood) planks or squared timbers glued together with specified maximum cross-sectional sizes of the individual timbers (lamellas). The aim of this agreement is to contribute to ensuring the overall quality of timber construction by providing comprehensive information about Duobalken®/Triobalken®.
